We warmly extend an invitation to all Association Members that participate in our representative (Roadrunners), domestic ‘social’ competitions or Ford Aussie Hoops program. This is a great opportunity for our local basketball community to meet, connect and have fun as we launch into the 2024 season.

 

There will be plenty of activities on the day, an outline of the program is included below:

• Skills Challenge
• Pick-up Games

 

Uniform & Shoe Swap

• We will be hosting a uniform and shoe swap to enable pre-loved, under-sized or unwanted items to be swapped or donated.
• We all know how fast kids grow, so this is a good opportunity to upcycle, pay-it-forward and share the love with others in our community who can benefit.
• Please bring along any items in good condition on the day.
• Eligible clothing will include any current Roadrunner branded uniform such as warm up shirts, playing shorts, training singlets and jumpers (NO socks please).
• Eligible shoes will include any basketball or court shoes only.
• Items can be swapped on a one for one basis i.e. clothing with clothing and shoes for shoes.
• At 1pm any remaining items left on the tables will be available to be purchased. All items will be sold for $5 until nothing is left.

 

New Uniform Purchase

• Our Roadrunner uniform, supporter clothing and bags will also be available to be purchased on the day.
• This is a great opportunity for new players to ensure they are set for the season with everything they need. That goes for all our parents and supporters as well!
• We would love to see more of our community sporting the maroon and gold around town.

 

Basketball Activities

 

• A Skills Challenge will be held on Court 1 from 10am-12pm. Test your basketball skills to see who can complete the course the quickest!
• A 3-point Shoot-out will be held on Court 2. Register your participation early as spots will be limited.
• 10am-10.15am registration
• 10.15am U12 Shoot-out
• 10.50am U14 Shoot-out
• 11.25am U16 Shoot-out
• 12.00pm U19 Shoot-out (Court 2) and Parents Shoot-out (Court 1) relive your glory days!
• 12.40pm Champions shootout (winner of each age group in a final challenge)
• Join in a family friendly pick-up game from 1pm-2pm
