Any new player needs to contact Carole  ( qdbacomps@gmail.com ) prior to registering, to register their expression of interest in joining a team. Please include the Year of Birth if wanting a team in our Junior Social Competition.

 

The Association Board has decided to change our junior competition groupings from the players' Years at school to their Age groups, ie:  Under 8s, Under 10s, etc.  This will make the progression to Representative level easier.

For example Under 16 means that the player cannot turn 16 yrs old, in that calendar year.

 

Age Groups for 2024

Mondays  Under 14s    YOB = 2011 or 2012

Tuesdays  Under 16s    YOB = 2009 and 2010;   

      Plus  Under 18s     YOB = 2007 and 2008  

Wednesdays - men's competition

Thursdays  Under 12s   YOB =  2013 and 2014

Fridays   Under 10s    YOB  =  2015 and 2016 

Fridays   Under 8s  YOB = 2017, 2018 and 2019  with a proposed program to include developing/improving skills, followed by a modified game.

 

Dates for 2024:

Week of February 12 to February16  -  Skills clinics for each age group on their day of the week.

Games start for juniors the week beginning February 19.

 

Teams are NOT automatically rolled over into the next calendar year. Please take the next 2 weeks to enquire if your players are continuing in 2024, and their Year of Birth if continuing, as everyone gets very busy once school goes back.
