Wanneroo Basketball Association is now calling for coaches for the upcoming State Champs and WABL Seasons. We are looking for head coaches and assistant coaches that want to be a part of the Joondalup Wolves program and prioritize the development of our players for continued success and growth.

Coach selections will be made by October 1.

However, it is important to note that at Wolves we initially select coaches to an age group/gender, not to a specific team. After trials selections are final, we will announce coaches to specific State Champs teams. This is to ensure an unbiased trials selection process.

Every coach in our WABL program will need to meet the following requirements:

1. You will need to fill out your expression of interest form (the link above)

2. Unless your child is on your team, you will need a Working with Children Check (WCC)

3. You will need to get a Level 1 coaching certificate prior to the start of WABL season in 2023. (WBA will run sessions for coaches to obtain this certification at HBF throughout the early part of the 2023 calendar year.)

4. There will be 2 WABL Coach Education/Orientation sessions that are mandatory to attend prior to the start of State Champs. For both of these sessions, you will have two dates to choose from where the same content will be taught. The first session will be in the evenings of Tuesday 21 September and Thursday 23 September at HBF. You will have the choice between either of these two dates. The second session will be an on-court session. The 2 options for session 2 will be Tuesday 25 October and Thursday 27 October.

                **If you are unable to attend either of these 2 required coach orientation sessions, please let us know as soon as you can. To be considered for a coaching position, the Player & Coach Development Manager will need to meet with you individually to cover the content of the session.
