All is in readiness for our inaugural U16 East v West match tomorrow night; the coaches, umpires, runners, trainers, timekeepers, photographer and the stars of the show – the players - who have undergone two training sessions in preparation. Now we hope the weather god is good to us!
The West team is represented by Ellinbank, Longwarry, Lang Lang & Poowong and the East by Buln Buln, Neerim South, Trafalgar and Yarragon.
The BOM would like to acknowledge the coaches, Jake Serong, Matt Devon, Darren Pope, Matt Irwin, Peter Joyce, and Paul Axford, who all helped in the lead up. Also thanks to Alan Massaro & Tony Stewart from the Trainers Association, the Yarragon Football Netball club for the use their ground and facilities and the Gippsland Umpires Association who will officiate the match.
The leagues is also grateful to all the parents, guardians, families and a friends that have provided the boys with transport and hope all can attend tomorrow night at Yarragon. Players to be at ground no later than 5:45pm for a 6:15pm start. Yarragon will have their canteen and a BBQ operating.
The EDFNL BOM believe the future of our clubs and the league is built around the development of our juniors so the time and effort put in by all to make this match a success is a small part to play for the long term gain. Good luck to all the players tomorrow night and for the rest of the season.
