Another Young Wolf – Kirby – to Join the Pack
The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of Wolves junior, Jasmine Kirby, for the 2022 NBL1 West season.
Jasmine joins the pack at just 15 years of age! This young combo guard has had a very successful basketball journey all throughout her juniors with the Wolfpack; most recently being named the 2021 WABL Female Player of the Year. We are proud to see her continue her journey with the Wolves in 2022 and can’t wait to see what she brings to the team.
New NBL1 Women’s Head Coach, Marcus Wong, shared his thoughts on Jasmine’s signing,
“It is great to have Jazz as part of our NBL1 squad in 2022. Our aim is to bring our own juniors through into our senior program and Jazz is one of 2 under 18 players we have included this year. She brings versality to the group where she can play anywhere from the 2 spot to the 4 spot for us. It is a great opportunity for Jazz to learn and grow as a player over the next 12 months and I am sure we will see her have a long and successful career for the Wolves at NBL1.”
When asked about her signing with the Wolves Jasmine said,
“I’m so excited to be given the opportunity to be part of the NBL1 Wolves Team, the club I have played at since I was 9.
I would like to thank the coaches for giving me this chance to be part of this very talented and supportive team.
I feel proud that I will be representing Wolves this year at this level and I look forward to learning and developing my game through the season with this amazing group of players and coaching group.”
Jasmine will be joining Teige Morrell, Neseya Parker-Williams, Chelsea Belcher, Tia Ucich, Shani Caldwell, Kiara Phillips, Laniesha Paddon, Akim Lual, Olivia Basso, Aryaan Horne, Hannah Duncan, Grace Tavelli, and Keisha Chng on the 2022 Wolves Women’s roster.
