Basso - Back to the Pack!
The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of 5’7” guard Olivia Basso for the 2022 NBL1 West season.
Olivia first joined the NBL1 Wolfpack as a 15-year-old in 2018. In her latest WABL season, Olivia earned the 2021 WABL Championship MVP and she continued to ruthlessly work on her game in anticipation for the upcoming 2022 NBL1 West season. Olivia provides a real offensive threat for the Wolves with her shooting skill – a skill new Head Coach Marcus Wong eagerly welcomed back to the squad:
“Olivia has been working hard in the off season and is shooting the ball extremely well. She lives and breathes Wolves basketball and brings some depth to our group not only with her shooting ability, but her bubbly personality is infectious within the group. I am excited to see her step up and hopefully have more of an impact in 2022.”
When asked about her return to the NBL1 West team, Olivia said,
“I’m beyond excited to have resigned and be playing again for the Wolfpack in the 2022 NBL1 season. I’m grateful to have another opportunity here and with new diversity in the team, it makes it special to be a part of. Having a new coach, Marcus, come from another state will bring so much experience and depth to lead our team. I can’t wait to get back to work with such an amazing group of people and get the season started!”
