The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of forward Akim Lual for the 2022 NBL1 West season.

Akim joins the Pack from the Cockburn Cougars NBL1 women’s team. She is a versatile forward – quick, shifty and an added threat on the perimeter. Akim’s speed and athleticism will be a key addition to the Wolves, especially in the rebounding battle. We look forward to having her battle with the Pack this 2022!

When asked about her signing with the Wolves, Akiim said,

“I am excited to join the Wolfpack and be a part of the already strong and established woman’s program they have. After speaking to Marcus and players, I’m super excited for the year ahead and the style of play he will be bringing to the club. After having quite, a disrupted season the past few years due to uni commitments, I’m really looking forward to learn and develop from the coaching staff’s wealth of knowledge, elevate my game and have some fun with a wonderful group of girls along the way.”

New NBL1 Women’s Head Coach Marcus Wong had this to say about the signing of Lual;

“We are excited to have Akim join us at the Wolves this season. She is an athletic rebounding machine at both ends of the floor and has fitted really well into our group. Her ability to make reads off ball screens will be an added strength for our group and I am really looking forward to working with her.
