JERMAINE JOINS JOONDALUP
The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of 6’1 Guard Jermaine Malie.
Jermaine comes to the Wolves from the Eastern Suns where he averaged 10 points per game and nearly 5 rebounds per game. He also shot the ball at 50% from the field.
Jermaine had this to say about joining the pack.
“I am excited to get the opportunity to be a part of one of the well accomplished and respected organisations in the league. I am looking forward to playing for a coach who is willing to push to get the best out of his players where the main focus is to get better and win the right way.”
Head Coach David Morrell said.
“Jermaine is a great add. He gives us a solid defender with quickness and toughness at the guard spot. We have a handful of guys that rebound well for their size, and I think he fits that well as a rebounding, 50/50 ball getting guard. He had a good year last year and we like what we see from him on both ends of the floor.
More than anything else, he’s a great young man, and as soon we brought him in for a first meeting, we knew he’d be the perfect fit to the culture we are trying to build up in Joondalup. He is completely unselfish, and just wants to do the little things to help our team win. I like guys who genuinely want to see their teammates be successful. And we want guys that want to defend the best player on the court for the opponent. At Wolves we want 5 guys on the floor that have that mentality, and another 7 guys on the bench with that mentality. Jermaine certainly has that mentality, and he’s shown that in previous seasons for his teams.
We are excited to welcome Jermaine to the Wolfpack.”
