Perrott-Hunt keeps purring along.

Kruz Perrott-Hunt ran up 19 points followed by 18 as South Dakota recorded back-to-back wins. In the 81-60 win against St Thomas Kruz, averaging 17 points a game at home during Summit League play, went two better in this one, moving past 600 career points in the process. South Dakota 9-6 in league play with three regular season games remaining. 

He then posted 18 points as South Dakota defeated Western Illinois 78-65 to move to 10-6 in the Summit League with two regular season games remaining. Kruz has recorded 14-straight games in double figures.

Also in NCAA Division I Sam Waardenburg finished with 6 points and a team high 7 rebounds but Miami lost at home (74-71) to Virginia – both teams now have 11 wins in the Atlantic Coast Conference and are amongst four teams tied for third spot on the ladder.

Earlier in the week Sam was the cornerstone of Miami’s defence as the Hurricanes recorded a 70-63 win at Louisville. He had team high’s in rebounds (9) and blocks (3) along with 8 points.

Sam Mennenga and Davidson College returned to winning ways with a 71-62 victory over Duquesne. The former Westlake Boys big man finished with 7 points, passing 300 career points in the process, 7 rebounds and a brace of assists. Davidson 12-2 in the Atlantic-10 Conference and a game clear at the top of the table.

Zach Riley enjoyed a significant amount of playing time in Fordham’s 66-61 loss to Virginia Commonwealth. The freshman guard, who only joined the Rams shortly before Xmas, played 20 minutes accumulating 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 points in only his fifth game.

Tera Reed scored 9 points, including 5 from 5 from the free-throw-line, as Southern California slipped to a 67-54 home loss to California.

In NCAA Division II play Hannah Wentworth scored 12 points (4/8 3PG) to help Eckerd College to a commanding 83-52 win at Embry-Riddle to improve to 13-4 in the Sunshine State Conference.

Chanel Brodeur-Muir scored 10 points on a perfect 4 from 4 from the field as St Thomas Aquinas made it three straight wins with a 74-56 win over D’Youville. Chanel also had 7 rebounds in the contest.

Keeley Tini had a good week in Junior College play.  She scored 19 points in Williston State’s win against United Tribes and 12 points in the loss to North Dakota SCS.

Waiaaria Rogers led Marshalltown to an exciting 65-64 defeat of Southeastern. The former Rangitoto College guard top scored in the game with a season high 18 points (7/15FG).

4th ranked Western Nebraska have won 20 games straight. Rashaan Smith scored 8 points and secured 5 rebounds in the comfortable 85-51 win against Northeastern. 

Jordyn Maddix scored 8 points as Western Texas lost 57-51 to South Plains. Parehuia Delamere dished a game high 6 assists to accompany 5 rebounds and 3 points.

Leo Wenham came up with 3 rebounds and a block as Southeast found the going tough against Central losing 91-58.
