The Ellinbank & District Football Netball League (EDFNL) Board of Management (BOM) is delighted to announce Peter Smith has been appointed as the new EDFL Secretary for 2022.
He will officially start on the 15th February.
Peter is a passionate supporter of local sport and community. His football participation days go back a long way, to the old SWGFL as a player for Cranbourne. Among his other interests are golf and bike riding and serving on many local business and community groups across the south-east fringe and Gippsland regions.
With a professional background as local government corporate and community services general manager, Peter has a lot of experience in business and community development projects. He is well credentialed in coaching for business improvement and is the owner and financial strategist at his business consultancy practice, New Era Management Services.
Peter will initially be involved with setting up the league HQ Platform. The EDFNL BOM is confident Peter will add a new level of expertise and his knowledge and background will be invaluable to assist with the transition to the EDFNL.

Peter will work closely with current Football Operations Manager Ken Moore who will also take on an Assistant Secretary position this year.
