Dynasty Just ended its first league season at the Junior High School level. Dynasty established its club in two Junior High Schools;Mays Educational Center in Dansonman a suburb of Accra and Golden Sunbeam Montessori School in Adenta also a suburb of Accra. Dynasty starts in-house leagues as part of the Dynasty Basketball club program and activities. These leagues bare the first names of the School;Mays Basketball League (MBL) & Sunbeam Basketball League (SBL). The league was played with four teams Crocodiles,Vipers,Sharks and Tigers in both schools. The Regular season format was a round robin which ended with Crocodiles topping the MBL and Vipers topping the SBL. The regular season games was followed by the Knock out playoffs which saw the same teams playing each other in both league brackets. The final teams for the championship finals for both leagues was the same with Vipers and Crocodiles dorminating both leagues. The championship finals for both leagues was very competitive and entertaining as Dynasty also had cheerleaders from amongst other members of the club to perfom their own choreographed routines during the game breaks. The finals for the MBL was won by the Vipers whiles the SBL finals was won by Crocodiles. Individual awards was presented for MVP,Most Defendsive Player & Most Improved Player. The receipients of all these awards where young prospects who performed well through out the regular season through to the finals. The MVP's where awarded by their statistics at the end of the Championship Finals. For the MBL both MVP's emerged from the Vipers;Bliss Cobla who was also the team captain and for the girls MVP was Annie-Marie.Most Defensive Player for the MBL was Kevin Alhasan of the Tigers and the Most Improved player was Elsie Mbroh of the Crocodiles. The SBL also witness the same trend of Award winners with both MVP's emerging from the same team; Boys MVP was Zugah Wisdom and girls Rahel Fodey both from the Crocodiles the SBL Championship Team for 2008. Most Defensive player was a Tamara of the Sharks and the Most Improved Player was Tracy Sarpong. The league was very successfull with the finals been graced by the school staff and the students there to cheer the favorite team to victory.
