MG Plasterers Round 4 Preview

It’s the double derby in Millicent as the Cats take on the Saints in both the men’s and women’s. For the ladies it’s the MGP MATCH OF THE WEEK featuring the leagues two leading scorers in Saints speedster Lacey Haines (23.5 PPG) and the skilful Georgia Winter (27 PPG) for the Cats. The Saints boast a younger but talented and dynamic team, whilst the Cats have more experience to call on including Pioneers skipper Jasmin Howe who had a terrific game last week. This is a genuine toss of the coin.

After a week off the BullRoos gather themselves and take on the Panthers in desperate need of their first win. It will be the ability of the the BullRoo’s to slow down dynamic duo Alyssa Duncan (18.3 PPG) and Pioneers star Joey Jones (24 points last week) that determines whether they can notch up their first win. However, with the athletic abilities of Siobhan Adams, Macey Griffith, Ellie Bouchier, and Cara Nulty, it’s certainly a possibility the Panthers can be toppled.

The men’s contest between the Cats and Saints will be fascinating, as both teams have shown good form without really hitting their straps. Kade Bradley (35 pts) was fantastic last week for the Cats and will take some stopping, whilst the versatility of the Saints u18 trio Jack Haggett, Jackson Bowden, and Harry Mules, will be challenging for the Cats. Grab your popcorn and find a seat at Millicent stadium tonight for what will be two entertaining matches with all four sides vying for town bragging rights.
