MG Plasterers SECBL Round 3 Preview
Round 3! The MG Plasterers SECBL is off to a flying start, with competitive matches and emerging stars all over the shop! Who will come out on top tonight?
To begin in the men’s the high jumping, and scoring JoeyRoos, led by league leading scorer Mackye Baron (36.5 PPG), against the Millicent Cats, marshalled by the Bradley brothers – Kade (20.5 PPG) & Fraser (13.5 PPG). The Roos are scoring a league high 111.5 points per game over their first two contests, can the Cats ground the Kanga’s and pick up their first win of the season?
The Icehouse, MTG 6:20pm
In Millicent it’s the winless Saints playing the undefeated Dogs in what will be a tough challenge for the rising Saints. 15 year old Jackson Bowden has been outstanding for the Saints averaging 20 PPG in his first two matches, but the dogs are laden with experience and athleticism to make it hard for the young star. State companion Ben Young has been solid for the Bullies with 16 PPG, who wins out between two rising SA Country talents?
Peter Seebohm Stadium, Millicent 6:30pm
In the Mens’ MG MATCH OF THE WEEK, Pioneers back court mates Kane de Wit (27 PPG) and Kyle Tipene (29.5 PPG) will do battle in an enticing match up. The Cougars found form last week against the Cats, Jordy Hollit has been strong averaging 24 PPG, will it be enough to topple the undefeated Panthers? One suspects this will be fiery contest!

On the women’s side, the league’s second leading scorer Lacey Haines (26 PPG), faces up against third leading scorer Alyssa Duncan (19 PPG) in Millicent, as the Saints take on the Panthers. Two under 18 stars with different skillsets vying for supremacy, I wouldn’t miss watching this one.

In the MG MATCH OF THE WEEK, the Cats and Cougars do battle at the Icehouse, with Pioneers captain Jasmin Howe (15 PPG) and league leading scorer Georgia Winter (27 PPG) looking to notch up win number 2 against the Cougars three headed monster - Sophie Miles (13.5 PPG), Emily Dawe (11 PPG), and Keryl Ousey (10.5 PPG), who are also searching for their second victory.
