EDFL JUNIOR FOOTBALL TO PROCEED THIS WEEK – Saturday 14/8/21
This post is to advise EDFL Junior Football will proceed with Round 19 this Saturday.
The EDFL BOM as do most clubs believe junior football should play despite no senior matches this week.

U16.5s
9AM – Neerim South v Buln Buln at Neerim South
9AM – Poowong v Ellinbank at Venue to be Advised
Due to today’s announcement that the Greater Melbourne lockdown will be extended for 7 days - unfortunately the U16.5 Yarragon v Catani match is now abandoned.
U18.5s
10.38AM - Neerim South v Buln Buln at Neerim South
10.38AM – Trafalgar v Ellinbank at Trafalgar
As above due to the Greater Melbourne lockdown the U18.5 match between Poowong v Lang Lang is also abandoned.
The EDFL remind spectators are NOT ALLOWED at these matches.
A few community sport reminders for all those in regional areas:
- Open for all ages, training and competition.
- Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies
- Limited to minimum number of people required to participate in and facilitate the activity (i.e. players, coaches)
- Spectators not allowed (excludes people necessary for events such as teachers, instructors, trainers, coaches, umpires, carers, parents and guardians).
Clubs must abide by the latest ‘Return to games and play’ protocols sent to all clubs on 10 August in particular note:
- Canteens/kiosks are permitted to be open and must abide by density quotients and total number of people permitted in an indoor space
- Change rooms are permitted to be open, however, the total number of people permitted in all indoor spaces at the facility combined at any time does not exceed the indoor venue cap of 100 (with infants under one year of age not counting towards this limit)
- Face masks must be worn by all Victorians over the age of 12 indoors and outdoors unless they have a lawful exemption.
