The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of Jasmine Martin for the 2021 NBL1 West season. 

The 5’5 guard is returning to the Wolfpack since 2019. Jasmine is from New Jersey and attended Quinnipiac University where she played for the Quinnipiac Bobcats. During Jasmine’s SBL season, she has averaged 14 points and a 41 percent from the field goal. We are looking forward to what Jasmine can bring to the Wolfpack this NBL1 season. 

Jasmine spoke to the Joondalup Wolves about signing with the Wolves and becoming a part of the NBL1 in 2021. 

“It has been very exciting to get back on the court with such a wonderful organization! I had the privilege of playing for Nixy and the Wolves back in 2019, so stepping back out there feels like I'm back at home. After nearly 2 years of being away from the game, there's not a better group of people I'd want to go to battle with. They are dedicated to this game, to one another, and to winning, and I align with all of those things! During this time of Covid and having to be away from my family in the States for so long, this seems to be just what I needed to keep me going. It's really exciting to be playing NBL1, and to know that my friends and family can stream the games, and finally watch me play as well! I am dedicated and ready to be all in for the remainder of the season, and I look forward to adding any value that I can to this already incredible team! I also look forward to getting to know those around the club! Let's go Wolfpack!”

Women’s Head Coach Charles Nix shared his thoughts on Jasmine joining the Wolves for the 2021 NBL1 West season. 

“I’m really excited to have Jas back at the Wolves, in 2019 we were able to secure her services in a similar situation and she left a really positive impression with the group and myself. I’ve kept in contact with her and watched her journey over the last little while and when the opportunity presented to have her back in the pack we all decided that it was a great situation for both her and the club.” 

“She is in fantastic shape and in a really good place so we’ve seen her slot in without any issues which is great. She has a relationship with the majority of the playing group already and really adds some experience in our guards that will help us now but also educate our up-and-coming guards. I’m expecting Jas to come in and impact from the get-go and couldn’t be happier that she decided to put the green back on this year. Jas will be an important part of our push for a championship in 2021.” Added Nixy. 

Jasmine joins Alix Hayward, Amy Kidner, Chelsea Belcher, Georgia Denehey, Kayla Steindl, Nes’eya Parker-Williams, Amber Land, Aryaan Horne, Eleanor Hartill, Izzy Miotti, Laniesha Paddon, Olivia Basso, Tahni Geel, Tia Ucich and Rebecca Benson on the Wolves Women’s 2021 roster.
