EDFL ROUND 8 ON 29 MAY ABANDONED.

As per the Victorian Governments announcement yesterday there will be no community football and sport this weekend in line with the state government directions for Victoria to move to a circuit breaker lockdown from 11:59pm tonight until 11:59pm 3 June.

The AFL Vic Covid Framework Guidelines state among many other things;

By Law 2. Impact of a COVID Interruption on a Single Round
- Should an entire Round of matches be abandoned, no points or percentage shall be awarded to any team
- The season shall recommence with the next scheduled round.
- The season shall continue until the original finals are scheduled to commence

Therefore EDFL Round 8 scheduled for tomorrow is ABANDONED.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed the lockdown will terminate at 11:59pm 3 June and we resume football with EDFL Round 9 on Saturday 5th June.

In the meantime keep safe and please abide by the latest Covid restrictions.
