Traralgon and Moe will be the feature match in round 13 where select Gippsland League players will be championing for mental health awareness. Gippsland League will be hosting a mental health awareness themed round on July 17th for round 13 of the 2021 season. This special theme round will aim to help raise awareness of mental health issues and the impact it is having on our community. The event will be run over the 5 match days with the Traralgon v Moe match being the feature matchday of the round. Both football and netball will be engaged with activities on the day. Competing clubs have been encouraged to organise their own extra activities on the day.
The main activation in the round will see one mental health champion from each senior team wear a specially designed jumper featuring a blue 0 on the back to represent the push for zero lives lost to mental health. These jumpers represent the League and members clubs united position to support better mental health.

In the Traralgon and Moe feature match day there will be a mental health champion in each of the four football grades including Seniors, Reserves, Thirds and Fourths.
The League has also provided special runner shirts for the senior match which will see each competing club runner across the five matchdays wearing a special blue shirt. Clubs will also be provided blue arm tape to wear on the day as a tribute to those who have been lost to mental health.
Gippsland League purchased special blue netballs to feature in all netball matches across the League on the day, however due to the impact of COVID 19 on manufacturing, the stock has not arrived in time for the event. The League has managed to source a limited number of alternate special blue netballs that will be used on the feature match day in all games between Traralgon and Moe. The home netball teams will also be encouraged to wear blue bibs pending their availability.
The League will be producing a special copy of the Gippsland League Record for the round and the match between Traralgon and Moe will be streamed live via Gippsland League TV. The Gippsland League has also provided each club with a special mental health round jumper which will be raffled or auctioned off by each club with any money raised going to help mental health awareness.
