A MESSAGE FROM WANNEROO BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION – COVID 19 (26 APRIL 2021)
As per the State Government announcement today the 3-day lockdown has been lifted, however there are still some restrictions and guidelines in place that will affect our return to play. The WBA will seek advice in relation to the no spectator guidelines, square metre capacity rules and the use of masks. We will engage with all relevant stakeholders including Basketball Western Australia and HBF Arena management, Venues West to understand what and how these restrictions apply to us.
Once we have clarification from our governing bodies and partners, we will inform our members immediately.
We understand there will be many questions in relation to training and games this week and how they will be impacted. We will endeavour to get this information as soon as possible and once we are clearly informed; we will provide further advice.
We politely request your patience and understanding as we work through this difficult and challenging situation.
All WABL teams, Domestic clubs, Senior teams and program participants will be provided with relevant information as it comes to hand.
The health and safety of our members is our number one priority, and we will work with all members and stakeholders to ensure a safe return to our sport as soon as we can.
Thank you,
We will continue to provide information as it comes to hand.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
