Coup for Tigers As Clarke Signs on for NBL1 West
The Zambrero Willetton Tigers are excited to announce the recent signing of Australian representative and current member of the NBA Global Academy Hunter Clarke for the inaugural NBL1 West season in 2021.
Clarke a 6”5 guard based in Canberra has agreed to join the Zambrero Willetton Tigers for the 2021 season and will add more flexibility and firepower to the Tigers roster as preparations ramp up for the commencement of the new season.
“I’m excited to be entering such a competitive league which receives so much support from the community and it’s fans. I’m really looking forward to getting involved with Willetton on and off the floor as the club has been nothing but welcoming thus far” said Clarke.
Zambrero Willetton Tigers men’s head coach Adam Nener had the following comments about the signing of Clarke “We are very excited to have a player such as Hunter join us at Willetton, he has spent the past few years with the NBA Global Academy at the Centre of Excellence in Canberra and recently represented Australia against the New Zealand Tall Blacks so we know that Hunter can play but we were more impressed with the conversations we had with him and the fact that he just wants to come in and help the team do well in any way he can” said Nener.
The Zambrero Willetton Tigers start their NBL1 West season with a home game against local rivals Lakeside Lightning on the 17th April at Willetton Stadium.
