New Inglewood United recruit Andreas Theodosiades produced the standout moment as the Men’s NPL Night Series returned on the weekend.

Theodosiades, a multiple title winner with Perth SC, scored a brilliant overhead kick in Inglewood’s convincing win over Rockingham City.

The Group A leaders ran out 4-1 winners at Dalmatinac Park on Friday night.

Inglewood were 2-0 up at the break thanks to a double from Ajak Riak. Substitute Ryan Kennedy threw Rockingham a lifeline early in the second half, before Andres Oliveira’s side wrapped up the points through Theodosiades’ piece of magic and Robert Petkov’s stoppage-time effort.

The tie was followed by a 2-2 draw between Cockburn City and Gwelup Croatia. Twice Gwelup led through Hasani Sinclair, only for Cockburn's Anthony Skorich to peg them back on both occasions.

The other match in Group A was on Sunday night at Frank Drago Reserve, with league champions ECU Joondalup beating Perth Glory 2-1.

All the goals came before half-time. Former Glory A-League striker Chris Harold gave ECU the lead. Chris Donnell levelled for Glory but Harry Evans restored the Jacks’ advantage just before the break.

In Group B, Bayswater were 4-1 winners over Balcatta at Frank Drago. Gordon Smith (2), Luke Salmon and Kosta Sparta netted for Bayswater, with Anthony Topini pulling one back for Balcatta.

The two other Group B matches took place at Percy Doyle Reserve.

Armadale came from behind to beat hosts Sorrento 4-1. Jaxon Temata had the Gulls in front at the interval, but Armadale levelled through Angel Andres. Then Chad Nilson, Peter Jacobz and Kev Ashwood swung the game in Armadale's favour.

In the other Round Three game, Perth SC defeated Floreat Athena 2-1 in a repeat of last year's final.

Yagoub Mustafa and Jayden Gorman struck for the Azzurri before half-time, while Floreat’s goal came via Nicholas Ambrogio’s penalty 15 minutes from the end.

- The four outstanding matches from Round One will be played this Wednesday night (17 February).

At Percy Doyle Reserve, Gwelup Croatia face ECU Joondalup (6.30pm), followed by Sorrento against Balcatta (8.30pm).

At the same time at Frank Drago Reserve, Armadale and Floreat Athena meet at 6.30pm, with Perth SC taking on Bayswater City at 8.30pm.
