The Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of sharpshooter Trian Iliadis for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

The 6’3” guard will be hitting a 200-game milestone in the 2021 season. Trian started his professional basketball career as a development player for the Sydney Kings and Perth Wildcats in the NBL after a successful college career at Old Dominion University in the USA. Throughout his SBL career, Trian has averaged 22 point per game at a 45% from the field.

Trian spoke to the Joondalup Wolves about signing with the Wolves in 2021.

“Having the opportunity to compete for the inaugural NBL1 West championship alongside my best mates is something I’m very excited for and can’t wait to get started.”

Joondalup Wolves CEO and Men’s Head Coach Andrew Summerville shared his thoughts on Trian re-signing with the Wolves for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

“Getting Tri to play again was crucial to our depth for 2021. Tri is getting to a point where he may have considered giving it away, but I am glad he didn’t as he still gives us plenty of value. In the WCC he probably played more minutes than he and his body wanted to, but he showed he is still an elite player in the league, and he hit some huge shots for us when we needed it. He does somethings that make me shake my head at times, but that is what Tri does, he does Tri things. With him and Lochy out there I never have to worry about finding a 3-point shot and most of the time they knock them down.”

“2021 is a huge year for Trian with his wedding and a few birthdays to come but hopefully we get a big season from him on the court too.” Added Summerville.

Trian will be joining Lochlan Cummings, Seb Salinas, Reece Maxwell, Joel Vaiangina, Hamish Warden, Jordan Wellsteed, Jonathan Wade, Ben Ironmonger, Jacob Formosa and Rob Huntington on the Wolves Men’s 2021 roster.
