NPL Men's league set for reset

The second phase of the NPLWA Men’s league gets under way this Saturday following the drama of last weekend when the top and bottom six places were decided.
Most attention will naturally be on the top half, from where the 2020 league champions will come after each side has played all of the others once.
With no competition points carried over from the first 11 rounds, it’s a clean slate for everyone.
Floreat Athena, who were on top of the table when the split arrived, begin with a home match against Sorrento. Floreat defeated the Gulls 3-1 at E&D Litis Stadium 10 days ago.
Cockburn City are at home against Gwelup Croatia, who were second come the split, while ECU Joondalup host Armadale.
The teams in the bottom six are automatically out of the running for the title but there is still a place in the post-season Top Four Cup to target. That reward will go the club which finishes top after five rounds.
Perth SC begin with a derby against Balcatta at Dorrien Gardens. Balcatta beat Perth 3-1 in Round Four, their sole victory this term.
Inglewood United get an immediate rematch with Perth Glory. Inglewood’s 2-1 defeat to Glory last Saturday denied United a top-six spot.
The other bottom six game this weekend is between Rockingham City and Bayswater City at SafeRad Stadium. Rockingham have won just one game in 2020 – a 3-1 win at Bayswater in Round 10.
