Season Information

 

Welcome to ABA’s exciting new season commencing very soon. ABA would like to outline some very important information for the upcoming season.

 

 

Season

2020/21 will commence on Friday 16^th October 2020 and continue through to Monday 14^th December 2020 before recommencing after the Christmas break on Monday 1^st February 2021.

Monday nights competition will start on the 19^th October 2020

U/11’s & U/13 Boys and Girls Grand Final and Presentation evening – Thursday 11^th March 2021

U/15’s, U/17’s & U/20’s Boys and Girls Grand Final and Presentation evening - Friday 12^th March 2021.

More information will be posted regarding playing nights and times once fixturing has been finalised.

 

Online Registrations

Registration will be open for 2020/21 season from Monday 17^th August 2019 through to Friday 18^th September 2020. This will allow time to finalise fixturing of teams.

Player registration payments need to be finalised by Monday 12^th September 2020

Kidsport Vouchers

Kidsport Vouchers are welcome at ABA. Please see Shire of Harvey for more details regarding Kidsport.

 

Age Groups & Fee Structure

Below is a table of the Age Groups and which birth years relate to those age groups. Also included is the fees for season

** Due to Basketball WA restructuring the way their insurance is paid. Each individual player will be invoiced for their $35 BWA component. Previous years we have pd this on each player’s behalf, and has been included in the fees we set for each year division

 

Please note – Any player playing in a second team, in a higher age division, fees will be at a reduced price for the second team of $100

 

Junior Bouncers

As we are still finalizing some details of our 2020/21 Junior Bouncers season, some details regarding registrations, playing nights and structure of the program are yet to be determined. We will have these details available on our FB and Website as soon as practical

ABA Junior Bouncers program is proposing its Registration Day and Skills Day on Saturday 17^th October 2020 at LLC. Cost for Bouncers will be $110 and is payable on the registration day by cash eftpos. A basketball and the rental of the team uniform is included in the price for the Junior Bouncers program. Games night may be a Monday or Friday from 3.20pm – 4.30pm

Registrations will be available between 9am-10am, with a skills session between 10am – 12pm. Original Birth Certificates or Australian Passports will be required to be sighted for all new Junior Bouncers registered on the day, this will ensure a smooth registration process.

Please note for the 2020/21 season, Junior Bouncers will only be run during Term 4 of the 2020 year. Numerous factors have been considered in this decision as we believe it will ensure the players get the best possible experience they can have when developing their basketball skills.

JB is open to all boys and girls born in 2013/14. Throughout the year the players will be enjoying skills session and modified gameplay. More details will follow after our registration day with our first Junior Bouncers to be confirmed at a later date. Kids will enjoy quality coaching from some of ABA’s most experienced Senior and Junior Coaches.
