All NPL1 and NPLW matches to be streamed in 2020 winter season
Every minute of NPLW, NPL1 and NPL1 U23 action in the upcoming winter season will again be streamed live by Capital Football’s broadcast partner BarTV Sports, with over 100 matches available to watch in 2020.
A dozen Capital Football games will be live streamed each weekend this season, after a hugely successful season of streaming in 2019.
Fans across the world watched 1.57 million minutes of NPLW and NPL1 action last season, with more than 200 matches streamed. Capital Football CEO Phil Brown believes those numbers will continue to grow over the coming years.
“Our partnership with BarTV Sports gives us the chance to showcase our competitions and some of our most talented players to a bigger stage than ever before,” Mr Brown said.
“There is no better way to showcase our game than delivering every match live and free, and having more eyes on our competitions will only grow and improve football in the ACT and surrounding region.
“We look forward to bringing the fans closer to the action each week and growing the already strong support that football has in the region.”
Subject to ACT Government approval, Capital Football's NPLW and NPL1 competitions will kick off on 18 July, with 12 compelling matchups to watch.
In the opening match of the 2020 NPLW season, defending champions Belconnen United will host Monaro Panthers at Hawker Football Centre at 3pm, while across town Canberra Olympic will face Belconnen United at O'Connor Enclosed in an entertaining NPL1 season opener.
The 3pm blockbuster, which is arguably the Match of the Round, will be called by Russ Gibbs and Frank Cachia, as both clubs look to begin new eras under new coaches.
All matches are streamed via Capital Football's YouTube channel. Subscribe NOW to our YouTube channel to make sure you don’t miss a game in 2020.
