Registrations close at 5:00pm Monday 24 February. The SANFL Club Development Day is a one day summit designed to empower club officials to build, develop and grow the sustainability of local football clubs and communities. This year’s program includes a range of topics including grants and fundraising, member protection, strategy and planning, as well as strategies to engage and support volunteers. The event also encourages participants to expand their networks and creates an environment of collaboration and information sharing. To add to our line-up of fantastic speakers (including key-note speaker David Parkin), we’re pleased to announce that our expo will feature the following stalls:

Marsh Insurance - Certificate of Currency

JLT Insurance is now known as MARSH Insurance. Registering your Club Registering your club is compulsory each policy year as part of the Australian Football National Risk Protection Programme mandated by the AFL. This process confirms your club’s participation in the national programme and when completed, allows Marsh to process Personal Injury claims for your members. Click here to register your club Accessing your Club's Certificate of Currency A Certificate of Currency is a legal document that demonstrates you have Public and Products Liability Insurance. This document is sometimes required by Councils and/or Facility management. To unlock your club’s Certificate of Currency you must first complete the annual registration requirements and the Marsh Online Risk Management Module. Blackwood FC Opens New AusCo Modular Facilities
|

|
|
|
|
|
Blackwood Football Club celebrated the opening of their new modular changeroom facilities following a growth in participation numbers. Ausco Modular, SANFL’s official modular facilities provider, supplied the high-specification unisex changeroom facility which also includes a dedicated umpires’ changeroom, medical room and storage area. The buildings were manufactured off-site at Ausco’s local Adelaide-based factory and were ready for use within just six months. Ausco’s modular sporting facilities are designed to meet the needs of the community from a design, cost, quality, and project delivery perspective.

National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence Community Grants Up to $5,000 is available to community organisations providing services to children and young people. The grants give your community organisation the opportunity to: · Promote your organisation’s bullying prevention initiatives · Further develop your organisation’s capacity to prevent and respond to bullying · Promote a community approach to bullying prevention. Child Safeguarding, including Working with Children Checks, will be presented at the Club Development Day on the 29th of February with Guest Speaker Rachel Averbukh - Safeguarding Children and Young People Manager, AFL. SANFL will be providing further information including; Policies and Tools for Safeguarding Children & Young People at your club, later this week. Keep an eye out for an email from your League.

Child Safe Officer Training A Child Safe Officer at your club is vital to promote the message that keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility. Every club must work towards minimising risk to children and the Child Safe Officer helps to ensure everyone is aware of the club's policies and procedures to support this goal. The Office for Recreation, Sport & Racing is holding three training sessions for clubs to learn about their requirements.
