Bayswater City and Floreat Athena get Round Two of the NPL Night Series up and running tonight with a repeat of the 2019 grand final.

Floreat came out on top in last year's decider via a penalty shoot-out.

But they return to Frank Drago Reserve without head coach Garrett McDulling and his assistant Tim Cash, who both resigned following last Saturday's 2-1 win over Rockingham City.

Under 20 coach Anthony Benetti will take charge for tonight's Pool One encounter.

Bayswater began their Night Series campaign in style, Luke Salmon scoring two as they brushed aside Cockburn City 5-0.

The game precedes Sorrento's Pool Two clash with Balcatta.

The Gulls were held 0-0 by Perth Glory last week, while Balcatta won 5-4 against Armalde thanks to Hristos Vaenas' injury-time goal. Joe O'Brien scored a hat-trick for Balcatta.

The remaining Round Two fixtures are on Sunday, so as not to clash with Glory's Hyundai A-League match with Melbourne Victory at HBF Park on Saturday.

Cockburn and ECU Joondalup both seek their first points when they meet at Dalmatinac Park. While Cockburn will want to forget their opener, there were signs of encouragement for new Jacks head coach Kenny Lowe, whose side lost 4-2 to Perth SC.

That match is followed by Gwelup Croata versus Glory.

Meanwhile at Dorrien Gardens, Perth SC face Rockingham while Inglewood United meet Armadale.
