We will come back to leagues and clubs before the end of January on a coordinated approach from SANFL.

Footyweb
Please note that Sarah will be going on Maternity Leave early in 2020. We are working to train other staff in Footyweb to cover her absence however, we actively encourage leagues to upskill in this area so they are able to provide support to their clubs.
The AFL are running 4 Footyweb webinars between 14th January and 23rd of March attached is the information on each of the webinars. Following the webinars will be uploaded to ClubHelp.AFL.
Also attached is a manual for setting up online payments and registration forms and a recording of a training session run by Sarah is at https://youtu.be/OzUTsAlUB7Q
ANZAC Day
The State Government introduced the Anzac Day Commemoration Act 2005 to enhance the commemoration of ANZAC Day as a day of national significance in South Australia.
In accordance with Part 4 of that Act, there is a restriction on major sporting events between 5.00am and 12noon.
A public sporting or entertainment event means a sporting or entertainment event or activity to which tickets for admission (or similar devices)—
(a) are made available for purchase by a member of the public prior to the holding of the event or activity; and
(b) are required for entry to the event or activity
In 2020, ANZAC Day will be commemorated on a Saturday.
SANFL has written to the Premier to seek clarification that community clubs/leagues are able to conduct matches during the restricted time of 5.00am and 12noon, provided they do not charge or require tickets for entry to matches.
SANFL encourages Leagues and Clubs to support the promotion of the day and recognise the courage and perseverance of those who have served, fought and given their lives in the military.
ANZAC Day Medals
Unfortunately RSL SA state board has decided not to run the community leagues ANZAC Round medal program in 2020.
RSL SA have advised that Leagues are able to work with their local RSL SA Sub Branch if they wish to continue the ANZAC Medal Program locally.
We will provide further advice when it is received.
