Lismore won their way into the grand final with a 11.13 to 9.5 win against the Byron Magpies in the preliminary final today.
Kicking with the strong wind in the first quarter they held the Magpies scoreless whilst kicking 2.9 themselves. If they had kick straighter maybe the game would have been over at quarten time.
Even when kicking with the wind, the Magpies had too many players not prepared to win the hard ball and as a result they trailed 6.11 to 3.0 at the long break.
Byron improved in the second half but Lismore seemed to be in control to earn the right to play Ballina in the grand final.
