Dandenong Stingrays will take on minor premier Murray Bushrangers in the 2008 TAC Cup Grand Final on Friday at the Telstra Dome.
The Stingrays can clinch their first ever TAC Cup premiership while the Bushrnagers will look to avenge last year's TAC Cup grand final loss to Calder.
In a thriller at Princes Park, Dandenong (10.8.68) held on to defeat a brave Gippsland Power (8.13.61).
Amazingly, the Power had nine scoring shots to four in the last but were erratic in front of the big sticks.
The seven-point victory was orchestrated by key forward Myles Pitt and Chris Doria, who contributed three goals a piece.
TAC Cup Team of the Year Full-Back Tom Gillies and Steven Gaertner were also in good touch.
For the Power, Morrish Medallist Jarryd Blair battled hard in the midfield and Nick Heyne kicked four goals.
In the second of the cut throat semi-finals, the competition's yard stick Murray (14.12.96) defeated Oakleigh Chargers (7.16.58).
The Bushrangers were at their ruthless best in the last, piling on five goals whilst holding Oakleigh goalless.
Murray benefited from a best on ground performance from dynamic small forward Thomas Rockliff, who booted four goals.
James Strauss was best for the Chargers.
Murray Bushrangers play the Dandenong Stingrays in Friday's TAC Cup Grand Final at Telstra Dome at 4pm. Gates open at 3.30pm. Tickets available through www.ticketmaster.com.au and at the gate.
