Congratulations to Poowong midfield-forward Jack Hazendonk who won the 2019 Alf Walton medal for the EDFL senior best and fairest which was held at the Royal Hotel in Drouin on Monday night.
It was his second Alf Walton medal after having tied with Longwarry centreman Russell Lehman last year. He polled 29 votes to be three votes clear of Lehman this year. Nyora on baller Brad Arnold came in third with 25 votes. The 24 year old Hazendonk polled in 12 games and was awarded BOG eight times. He was recruited from Devon Meadows in 2017 and has now played 58 matches for the Magpies.
