Mazenod College has been awarded the 2019 Three Day Schools Cup Champion School in an incredibly close contest. The Champion School was not determined until the final match of the entire competition with Mazenod College finishing only five points ahead of Billanook College.
The 2019 Three Day Schools Cup was held Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July, with 179 teams from 39 Schools competing. Mazenod College claimed the Champion School with 581 points, which included two gold, one silver and one bronze medal in the honours divisions, followed closely by Billanook College on 576 points and Eltham High School in third on 555 points.
The Champion School is determined by counting the points accumulated by up to the six best placed teams from each school. Mazenod College have now claimed the Champion School twice in the past three years. A tremendous achievement!
In 2019 Volleyball Victoria was also pleased to rename the Open Boys Honours MVP as the Greg Thomas Award. Greg has contributed to Volleyball across more than three decades and this recognition is very much deserved. For more information regarding the Greg Thomas Award please CLICK HERE
