Jarrod Molloy, head coach of the Sandringham Dragons FC, has formally announced his resignation from the position last week.
Molloy coached the Dragons this season and is highly regarded for his coaching talents, passion for the game and his empathy for players.
AFL Victoria High Performance Manager Anton Grbac said Molloy was a terrific asset.
"As a past graduate of the TAC Cup with the Northern Knights and a successful AFL player with Fitzroy, Brisbane Lions and Collingwood, Jarrod understands the challenges that confront players as they pursue their football ambitions and provided that empathy through his coaching," Grbac said.
"Jarrod has developed strong relationships with the TAC Cup community in particular Sandringham Dragons, Oakleigh Chargers and Vic Metro U18 (where he served as an assistant for both).
"Jarrod has taken up a more active role in his business and associated activities and is unable to commit to the time required to coach a TAC Cup club.
"We wish Jarrod and his family all the best of health and happiness moving forward."
