Kyancutta Tigers back in action as Central Eyre commemorated 100 years of the Kyancutta FC first joining the Central Eyre Peninsula Football Association as a founding member in 1919. Heritage guernseys and strip worn for the day, then auctioned off for big dollars afterwards. The visiting Bombers had their sights set on spoiling the party, as this match was a nailbiter! The "Tigers" only landing their winning goal 10 seconds before the final siren, Zac Fitzgerald home for the day and slotting the winner. Big day, big weekend and a great event that the club should feel very proud of. The Bombers desperately unlucky, and never much in the game all day.
The game was taped (with thanks to Roy Rogers - Akaroy Films) and is available for viewing under a separate news item
The Hawks go about business with a big win over Wudinna United after trailing at quarter time. Fast ball movement and sharp around the goals, the Hawks moved into top gear. Handy lesson for the Magpies, this is the height of the bar that needs to be reached.
Guest appearance by AFL champion Lindsay Thomas in Hawks colours. Lindsay spoke to all colts players after the juniors games about his journey and the commitment needed to play AFL football. We are grateful for his time and input.
Western Districts got the job done against a very competitive Elliston at Elliston. No best players or details have been provided by Elliston, but big Tom Lee kicked a handful (5 goals) complementing reliable Damon O'Loughlin -King with three
