Following the League’s recent win in the Worksafe AFL Victoria Community Championships, 2019 GOTAFE Goulburn Valley League senior football coach Brad Campbell has been reappointed as coach for the 2020 campaign.
GOTAFE GVL Chairman David Roff is thrilled with Campbell’s commitment to the League.
“From the moment Brad accepted the coaching role for 2019, his enthusiasm and approach to the job has been outstanding. He was able to involve great GOTAFE GVL people to assist him including Paul Newman, Paul Kirby, Tim Looby, Brendan Vanderdonk and Sam Little. We look forward to hopefully a home game in 2020 and a further rise in the state ranking from our current 4th position”, stated Roff.
Campbell too is excited about 2020 and was happy to recommit to the League.
“I really enjoyed this years’ experience with the interleague team and loved the passion that is still involved with representative football”, mentioned Campbell.
"Developing some of our younger players was a goal for me this year, by inviting some of our up and coming stars to train with the squad. Two of those players in Zac Norris and Brad Whitford ended up playing in our game at Werribee which was great to see”, stated Campbell.
A home game is anticipated for 2020 after four recent away games in a row and at this stage, the League anticipates a clash against the strong Geelong Football League.
