Top 5 - Volunteer Recognition
National Volunteer Week is May 20-26th, why not take this opportunity to celebrate your clubs volunteers.
Community Clubs can't run without Volunteers here are our top 5 ways you can provide recognition to the Volunteers around your club:
1. Show them they are part of a team | Volunteers are an integral part of any organisation, not an add-on service. Making them feel like part of the team is incredibly important and can be done very simply by giving them a uniform.
2. Provide Training | Training volunteers shows that you value them and want to invest in them.
3. Hold Social Events for Volunteers | Organising a volunteer social event is a great way to bring all your volunteers together, and regular interaction with your volunteers helps to keep them inspired and motivated.
4. Say thank you | This is the easiest and probably most effective way to recognise your volunteers. And it’s free! Say thanks to your volunteers often and be sincere and specific when you do it.
5. Volunteer Awards | Show your appreciation for your volunteers and nominate them for awards. Or, you could put on your own internal awards!

Liquor Licensing Legislation Changes
On 2 October 2015, the State Government announced the first full scale review of South Australia’s liquor licensing laws in almost 20 years.
Following extensive consultation process, 129 amendments to the legislation were passed meaning huge changes for all liquor licensees including clubs.
The first of these took effect in December 2017 with further amendments to be introduced in stages.
The impact on clubs so far has included changes to standard trading hours, the provision of entertainment and designated dining and reception areas.
The final stage will be implemented by November 2019.
This will mean Limited Club Licences will no longer exist and these clubs will be transitioned to a full club licence.
Clubs SA has been assured of early unique access to the CBS online portal for determining club licences, ensuring sound advice and guidance on how to obtain:

Removal of "No Official" Option in Coach List on Team Sheets
A change to team sheets was made at the beginning of this year enforcing the selection of a coach to a team sheet.
This meant that team sheets could not be saved and submitted without selection of a coach. To ease clubs and coaches into this process, and to provide a window for coaches to become accredited, it was made possible for teams with non-accredited coaches to select a ‘no official’ field in this process.
With the majority of leagues now underway, clubs and coaches have been provided with ample opportunity to complete their accreditation for the 2019 season. Subsequently, the ability to select a ‘no official’ option in the team sheet field for coaches will be removed on Monday May 27 in preparation for the round beginning Friday May 31, 2019. This change will mandate the selection of accredited coaches on team sheets.
