Perth SC’s grip on the top of the NPL WA shows no sign of loosening despite having a player sent off for the second week in a row last Saturday.

Ramon Falzon’s reigning champions had to play the final quarter of the match with 10 men after Nicolo Sabatini was dismissed for retaliation.

At that stage the Azzurri were 2-0 ahead through Matthew Milenkovic and Michael Domfeh, and though substitute Adriano Jelenovic offered Armadale a lifeline the win was confirmed for Perth with Kristan Santich’s injury-time solo effort.

The result means Perth SC now hold a six-point advantage over Perth Glory and Floreat Athena.

Glory were held 1-1 by Cockburn City despite dominating most of the game. Daniel Stynes headed Glory in front not long after the break, only for in-form Daniel Robinson to deny the visitors victory with a tidy toe-poke finish.

Floreat made light work of second bottom ECU Joondalup with three goals before half time. Jon Stynes, Robert Petkov and Phil Arnold had put the game to bed by the half-hour mark.

Bottom of the table Stirling Lions slipped to a seventh loss of the season but head coach Trevor Morgan was encouraged by their attitude in his first match in charge. Samuel Riak netted the only goal for Inglewood, who are fourth on the ladder.

Sorrento are fifth following their 1-0 defeat of Balcatta. Jakub Prajza struck for the Gulls but it was a third straight game without a goal for Balcatta.

Bayswater City were left frustrated at SafeRad Stadium after letting a 2-0 lead slip against Rockingham City.

Bayswater led at the break with goals from Gordon Smith and Daryl Nicol. But a mix-up between Adam Harris and keeper Devon Spence allowed Riley Van Dieken to pull one back, before the ever-reliable James Harmer earned Rockingham a draw seven minutes from the end.
