GOTAFE Goulburn Valley League’s senior football coach Brad Campbell, also has the future in mind as he has added ten up and coming players to train with the squad released two weeks ago. Kyabram’s Kayne Pettifer was also added after the initial squad was released.
Campbell is full of praise for the players added to the initial squad and believes the exposure they’ll be given by training with the League’s elite players, will be highly beneficial to their development.
“The coaching panel have been out watching all games each week and what we have noticed is the talent of the young, up and coming players in the League. For this reason, we have decided to invite ten players to join the squad and train in a development capacity”, said Campbell.
“We’ve been impressed with the performances of these players so far this season and recognise them as having the potential to represent our League in coming years”, added Campbell.
Amongst the players invited to train are the last two winners of the League’s Mooroopna Golf Club Rising Star Award in Brad Whitford from Kyabram and Benalla’s Jamie Dunne.
The ten players invited to train with the League’s interleague squad are –
Brad Whitford - Kyabram
Zac Norris - Kyabram
Jack Norman - United
Liam Fiore - United
Billy Cooper - Tatura
Jackson McEwen - Rochester
Will Hamilton - Rochester
Doug Wren - Rochester
