Bayswater come from behind to stun Armadale

Kenny Keogh scored twice as Bayswater City battled back from two goals down to defeat Armadale SC 5-2 in Round 6 of the NPL WA at Frank Drago Reserve on Saturday.

Trailing 2-0 after Armadale’s fast start, Bayswater produced one of the comebacks of the season, scoring four goals 20 minutes either side of half-time to record just their second win of the season.

Unbeaten in their last two games, Armadale charged out of the blocks – Harry Evans and Josh Kuser each scoring within the opening ten minutes to put the visitors firmly in control of the contest.

Having struggled for consistency this season, usual NPL powerhouse Bayswater bounced back and soon turned the game on its head with two goals in first half stoppage time to Giordano Colli and Keogh.

After the break, it was all Bayswater, as Chris Coyne’s men completed the comeback as Keogh cut off his left wing before firing home just past the hour mark.

And when Daryl Nicol tapped in from close range just four minutes later, Bayswater suddenly had a two-goal lead.

Kuser had a late chance to pull a goal back for Armadale before Bayswater substitute Jake Sardelic made sure of the points with a cool finish past Sam Hutchings in the dying seconds.
