Top 5 Tips to Ensure Coaches can be Selected on Team Sheets
Here are five steps to follow if new or existing coaches cannot be selected on the Game-Day Team Sheet
- Complete or update their Coaching Profile: Ensuring they select the team they are coaching for the year. If this process is not done, SportsTG will not be able to identify who they are coaching, and their name will not come up on the Team Sheet.
- Pay the annual CoachAFL Membership Fee of $49.50 if applicable
- Agree to the Coaches’ Code of Conduct
- Complete an online module on Respectful Relationships
- If a coach is still unable to select themselves on the Team Sheet, please refer them to coach.afl support This can be done by clicking on the Contact tab at the top of the coach.afl page.

Hexlid | Protective Helmet Approval
In 2016 the AFL approved Hexlid™ for use in Australian Rules Football. In 2019 Hexlid™ will be commercially available and you may see players wearing this protective device.
Hexlid™ is a unique soft shell injection moulded proprietary EVA foam helmet originally designed specifically for use in Australian Rules Football.
Whilst a Hexlid™ appears to be rigid, it is firm but is not hard. Its soft shell form means that it will protect both players involved in a collision. A Hexlid™ weighs approximately 170-230 grams, depending on size and is affixed with an elastomer chin strap.
The Hexlid™ has been designed and tested in Australia. Hexlid™ is scientifically proven to reduce the likelihood of concussion by up to 55%, when compared to an unprotected head.
