KDL President, Fraser Kerrins said the Board are thrilled to be hosting a ‘home’ game in our district after 3 years playing away. It will be a terrific opportunity for the league to showcase its local home-grown talent, some wonderful facilities at Central Park Reserve and what will be a strong crowd to cheer on our 6 grades of football and netball.
Golden Rivers FNL indicated late last year that they wouldn’t be able to field the Under 18 football and 15 and 13 and Under Netball, so we as a Board made the decision that we will showcase these games as “Intraleague” matches, to ensure our young players don’t miss out on such a significant day for the KDL, said Fraser.
With game times still to be confirmed, and teams still to be selected with announcement to follow soon, the day will be hosted at Central Avenue at the Shepparton East Football Netball Club, Central Park Reserve.
It will be great to see our local community supporting such a wonderful event for The Apprenticeship Factory KDL. With the main round being a bye that weekend, we anticipate a large crowd and look forward to Interleague and ‘Intraleague’ games being showcased right on our doorstep, reiterated Fraser.
