Perth SC blitz Rocky with early onslaught
Report by Samuel Hays
Perth SC claimed a comfortable 4-0 win over a struggling Rockingham City side at Dorrien Gardens on Saturday.
The win saw Perth remain unbeaten and move to the top of the NPL WA table while promoted Rockingham are still searching for their first point.
It was an incredibly quick start for the home side who found themselves 3-0 up after only 12 minutes.
Michael Domfeh got on the end of a cross from Alex Silla and volleyed home after only two minutes.
And the new forward was at it again just a minute later when he was afforded too much space by the Rockingham defence and was able to slot home.
Perth had their third on the 12th minute mark after keeper Cyril Sharrock fouled Kristan Santich inside the box and Harley Orr converted the penalty despite Sharrock getting a touch on the ball.
Domfeh nearly had his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time as he was played through on goal but Sharrock stood tall to deny him.
Rockingham tightened up at the back in the second-half but both teams were relatively quiet in front of goal until the 84th minute when substitute Frank Furfaro capitalised on a defensive error from Blake Sokolowski and coolly finished of the shot.
The loss leaves Rockingham rock bottom, the only side yet to register a point or a goal after three matches while conceding 11. They will hope their first home match of the campaign next weekend will bring a change of fortune.
