Wolves Land Amber
The Chambers Franklyn Joondalup City Wolves welcome seasoned SBL star and recognised leader Amber Land to the 2019 Wolves Women’s roster.
A North Dakota native, Land has been in Australia for 7 years and is now a permanent resident, joining the Wolves roster as an Unrestricted athlete with an extensive Basketball CV.
The 188cm Land has long been a fixture in the WSBL, a perennial League All-Star and Team Captain. In 2018 she delivered a 15 & 10 season average, which included an eye-catching 47 point and 18 rebound two game play-off series against the Perth Redbacks.
Wolves WSBL Head Coach Charles Nix has previously observed and admired Land’s obvious abilities and leadership credentials.
“Amber Land brings real experience and craft to our 2019 program. She’s a mobile big and consistent performer with enormous leadership upside” Nix said.
“To secure her services is a really important step in the restructure of our roster, and her values and team-first mentality make her an outstanding fit for our club” Nix concluded.
