Nix Appointed to Basketball Operations
The Wanneroo Basketball Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Nix as the club’s Basketball Operations Coordinator for the next two years.
Nix was selected for the new role from a strong field of candidates, including internationally experienced Basketball Coaches and Administrators, proving that there is high-quality, local-talent available that possesses the knowledge and experience to drive the game forward in Joondalup and the booming northern coastal region.
Reporting directly to the club’s Chief Operating Officer, the role will undertake program delivery and stakeholder management across the northern coastal growth corridor, growing participation for the Association.
The role will form critical relationships with members, local schools, agencies and institutions, growing and expanding the Association’s Basketball footprint, profile and positive influence across the community.
This includes leading and further growing the club’s Wolfpack Aussie Hoops junior development program, intensively working with the club’s identified coaches and SBL pathway athletes and delivering coaching and player development activities to support and grow Basketball capability in our people.
The highly experienced and passionate Nix will combine his Chambers Franklyn Joondalup City Wolves Women’s Head Coach duties with this role, in what will be full-time, fast-paced Basketball employment that takes the club’s administration structure to five sports-industry professionals.
