Cardiff and BDAFL representative, Nick Tomlinson knows a fair bit about sporting clubs having had a distinguished playing career in both QLD and NSW.
Nick has taken this knowledge and founded a program called “Sport Support” which is a people welfare and culture development program that is specifically tailored to club’s needs and designed to provide clubs with a competitive advantage through equipping their people to “cope with Monday to Friday” and “deliver on game day”.
Over the past few years the BDAFL and clubs have done a fantastic job in not only engaging with the community but also understanding the important role in which football clubs play in the health and wellbeing of their members, whether they be players or supporters and also the importance of having a good club culture.
As Nick says ”People will come and go but your club will always remain and this program will help anyone who comes into your environment assimilate, seek advice, learn from others’ experiences, and feel like they have an ally to turn to. What better way to show your commitment to your people and your community than by being proactive in better equipping them to deal with personal and professional issues alike”.

Remember this program is not only aimed at BDAFL clubs, rather all sporting clubs.
