Congratulations to Longwarry’s Bailey Stephens and Neerim South’s Rhys George.
Tonight Bailey was awarded the Ian Cooper medal for the best and fairest in the 2018 U/16 competition and Rhys won the Bill Cumming medal for the best and fairest in the U/18 competition. Both were runaway winners at the league vote count at the GRV Warragul racetrack.
The U/16 leading goal kicker Adam Adamiak (50) from Longwarry and U/18 leading goal Lauchlan Gregson (104) from Catani were also presented with trophies for topping the goal kicking table at the end of the home and away season.
In the U/16s Bailey drew clear after round 4 and was never headed. He polled in 11 games and nine times was awarded three votes.
