West Coast Hawks v Wirrulla
The strong all conquering Hawks vs an up and coming enthusiastic Bomber machine, so impressive in the way that they teamed together last week. The Hawks are aiming for three in a row this weekend. Home ground to the young Bombers, but a supercharged opposition this week.
Hawks boast a strong group of young men who will play many years of senior football and at higher levels. Some of their bigger players such as Callum Saunders and Zak Lovegrove may just play seniors. The top of the Hawks side is awesome, Jacob Baldock, Jonti Brice, Hayden Brands, Bailey Hawes all enjoyed great interleague season, speedster Mitch Gazzola, Nathan Hill highly skilled. A younger band of players such as Jett Brooks, Blake Kenny, Tye Kenny, Jay Johns will see the Hawks at the top for many years. The marking ability of Kyan Saunders will be hard to stop.
The Bombers strength is their ability to work together. Smaller bodies but they play with big hearts. Macca Best back from college helps, Darci Best in and around the middle, Jesse Pittaway and Zac Watson are strong competitors playing with maturity beyond their years. Tait Johnson and Fred Evans win the hard ball and Harrison, Hugh and Lachy Hammat are in everything. Phillip Lawrie had a big game last week and will be important in the Grand Final. Frazer Gum marks anything in his reach.
The Bombers have a huge future as they are emerging as a side who have played many years together, and lose only a couple this year due to age. The Hawks look the goods here though.
Hawks 60 - 70
