MPNFL clubs have rejected the Cranbourne Football Netball Club’s application to become a member club of the MPNFL at a Special General Meeting held at Frankston Park on Wednesday 29 August.
The 22 MPNFL clubs were voting on a motion to accept Cranbourne’s application to join the MPNFL in 2019.
Cranbourne’s application to join the MPNFL required a majority vote of 17-5 to be successful, but the required 75 percent was not achieved.
Under AFL Victoria Rules, Cranbourne has seven days to lodge an appeal with the AFL South East Region Commission, with any appeal to be heard by an independent Appeals Panel.
