Elliston v Wirrulla
Great game expected here, the Bombers have players back, and Elliston looking to capitalise on their double chance. Last meeting in Round 15 saw the Bombers win a thriller by 12 points at Wirrulla, so these two are very evenly matched. Both are chock full of up and coming stars, and know that Grand Finals are not that easy to come by, so what a chance this is!
Elliston played in the Grand Final last year and kept up their rating despite the loss of older guns. Great season from Josh Nuske, proably high in the club best and fairest this season, winning the ball from centre time and time again. Jacob Newton, State Schoolboy honours and very easy to see why, skilled brave and tough, Yarni Cobby is fast and brilliant in the air, Harvey Fleming a star of the future. Jordan Little, Kasper Cummings, Brodie Callaghan and Rory Kelsh lead a very impressive yound band of Roosters already playing beyond their years.
Wirrulla also host an abundant talent, many having played in the colts grade for five or more years together, and displaying the team style that demonstrates that they are proud of their club and guernsey. Mac Best back from Adelaide a huge in, tall, fast and skilful. Brother and Lockwood Medallist Darci Best in everything, also with younger brother Charlie who knocks up getting kicks. Jesse Pittaway played great A Grade this year and leads from the front, Zac Watson and Tait Johnson both long time players and future heroes at the Bombers. Fred Evans, Hugh and Harrison Hammat Fraser Gum and Kane Hogben, this is a team ready to go.
Really hard to tip here, it will just come down to moments and opportunities taken. Maybe the return of Mac Best will swing the pendulum the Bombers way, but beware the Roosters at home, should be another classic between these two clubs rising talent!
Bombers 10 - 20
