Norwood FC are providing a Junior & Senior Coach of the Year Award (plaque) for each League. I will be looking to deliver the awards to each League over the next week.
It will be up to the League to decide the winner for each award and appropriate presentation. Many Leagues across the state opt to wait until their finals series has finished before deciding on a finalist and then allow the presentation to be made at the Coach of the Year’s own Club presentation. Some Leagues make a decision towards the end of the minor round series based on a coach who the League has felt has clearly shown the ideals set out for such an award (see examples below). This then allows for awards to be presented at a League function.
I have attached proforma’s for each Leagues Junior & Senior Coach of the Year that then needs to be returned to me by Monday 24th September. I will then assess each winner with Rick Shrowder Talent Manager Norwood FC to have an overall Junior & Senior Coach of the Year for Norwood Country Zone (Eyre Peninsula). The Norwood Country Zone Junior & Senior Coach of the Year will then be invited to the SANFL Annual Coach Awards as guests of the Norwood Football Club.
Possible Coach of the Year ideals to consider:
Junior
Develop player potential, enhance team skills and foster competitive spirit and desirable attitudes through training and match play.
Senior
Optimise the available individual and team potential while projecting sound attitudes concerning the welfare of football in general.
(Note: Nomination forms below are in Word, and also the same form in pdf version)
