NEWS: Rangers launch third Soccer Mums’ program in Geelong - FC Leopold is next!
GEELONG Rangers Soccer Club kicked off the first session of their 6 Week VicHealth Soccer Mums Program on Thursday evening with a total of eight mums braving the wet and blustery conditions!
According to Program Deliverer, Vicki Maroulis, fun and frivolity was had by all.
“Thanks to all the mums who braved the weather. We had a fantastic turn out on the opening night. Soccer Mums is a fun and social program, a great way to meet other mums and get fit,” she explained.
It's not too late to register for the program, which is held every Thursday night from 5:15-6:15pm at the club’s Myers Reserve complex. The cost is just $20 per person for the entire six week program.

The Bell Post Hill club is the third club in Geelong to have staged the VicHealth Active Women and Girls for Health and Wellbeing Program designed to empower more women to have fun and become more active through a soccer based program. The program is designed to meet the needs of the participants and no soccer experience is required to participate.
Geelong SC was the first club to kickstart the Soccer Mums program in Geelong, before North Geelong Warriors also hosted a six week program. Both clubs are about to launch their second six-week program.
FC Leopold will run the fourth Soccer Mums program – the first one located in the Southern Zone.
Commencing on the 26th July, FC Leopold’s program will be held on Thursday mornings and will run through until the end of August. It will be run by well-known club identity Cath Sattler.
